So I just received one of the most insulting personal rejections I've ever seen. Not insulting to me, but insulting to my story.
I was told that I should have made one of the characters in Reformatted Soul male.
Granted, I did strip out the non-binary pronouns to make the story more palatable for the market, but seriously. What the fuck?

Date: 2012-07-25 06:34 am (UTC)From:I mean, I already blame media for 90% of gender stereotype problems (the other 10% is internalised stuff from earlier generations... but I think really, it's the media that gives us the idea to police things and what to be policing.) I want the media to stop it. When people stop the media from stopping it, I want to puke on their faces. (Because I'm just so girly like that.)
