So I just received one of the most insulting personal rejections I've ever seen. Not insulting to me, but insulting to my story.
I was told that I should have made one of the characters in Reformatted Soul male.
Granted, I did strip out the non-binary pronouns to make the story more palatable for the market, but seriously. What the fuck?

Date: 2012-07-19 09:01 pm (UTC)From:I'm trying not to be too pissed off about it. He didn't like my story, and that's okay. He's also a sexist douchenozzle who doesn't think robots can have genders. (He put EDEN's gender in scare quotes in the rejection.) It's just really discouraging because I gave him the watered down version of the story.
