May. 17th, 2012 03:17 pmSo, I'm in a Starbucks right now, enjoying that my money is going towards a business that is pro gay marriage.
I wanted to plug in my laptop, and there was a guy sitting on the ledge directly over the plug, right next to a woman. I politely said excuse me and he scooted over a bit, which didn't give me access to the plug. So I laughed and told him that he was sitting right over it.
The woman snaps at me, "Well, it's not his fault that he's sitting there."
All I managed to do was stare at her and say, "I was laughing about it."
She left in a snit.
I really don't get people.

May. 17th, 2012 04:49 pmSpread the word: Ann and Jeff VanderMeer have a kickstarter for a Feminist Speculative Fiction Anthology. They're still about $3,500 below their goal, though and there's only 13 days left.
(If you donate $5,000, they will adopt a cat or dog and name it after your favorite feminist.)
