I don't know if you want to go the Kindle route, but you can download the computer Kindle app for free and share books between your Kindle-enabled devices, as long as they're all on the same Amazon account. (I got the computer reader first and only later got a Kindle as a gift; now I'm sharing my library between my computer, Kindle, and Nexus.)
